18:30 - 20:30 Dancing Pugliese #1 —The Poetic Body
with Mabel Rivero + Michael Lavocah.
The music of Pugliese is powerful but also highly lyrical. This workshop builds the tools you need to express these lyrical moments in and through your whole body, using it as a musical instrument. We will work with the concept of dancing at different physical levels (heights), and investigate the use of the arms as an expressive tool within the embrace, exploring the connection of the arms to the torso. With these “wings”, we can take flight.
