Dancing Pugliese 4 — La Yumba Moves
with Mariano and Cosima Díaz Campos.
Focusing on la yumba, the dragging of the bandoneon and the arrastre of the string section characterising the Pugliese sound, this workshop will explore the possibilities of the yumba sound and what movements to use on the social dance floor at the milonga. You will find you have many options, for example to follow the strong beat by doing vaivenes, sacadas or caminatas, decorative walking steps, and even to emphasize the syncopation by adding adornos. Join us for a fun, social workshop to grow your Pugliese vocabulary!
