Mushroom guiding with local expert Stuart / Plockat

A complete Introduction to wild mushroom foraging f
or the complete beginner who has never picked a mushroom to the intermediate forager.

You join a group of max 12 people for a peaceful 3-hour wander with a break for Swedish “fika” followed by an outdoor cooking demonstration and tasting from the days catch.

We cover the basics of mycology including where, when and how to pick mushrooms. Identification of the easiest mushrooms to start picking with focus on those without dangerous look-alikes. We cover basic techniques - picking, cleaning, storing

The events are held weekdays and weekends at a number of prime locations within an hour’s drive from Växjö during August and September. In a good mushroom year there may be additional dates in July and October
