Samarbetet mellan Viktoria Tolstoy och pianisten Jacob Karlzon går långt tillbaka i tiden. Därför är det också ett särskilt lyckat konsertkoncept när de här söker sig bakåt till sina gemensamma musikaliska rötter. I detta intima format med bara de två på scenen blommar deras telepatiska kontakt fullt ut.
Det är också överdådiskt musikantiskt när de rakt och utan manér ger sig in i låtar som Peter Gabriels Against all Adds, Michael McDonalds Can’t Let Go, Peter Gabriels Red Rain och många andra fantastiska låtar från popens toppskikt.
Mer jazznära är till exempel Shadow and light som bland annat har legendariske Joe Zawinul som upphovsperson. De bjuder också på Venus and Mars som Esbjörn Svensson skrev tillsammans med Micke Littwold och Viktoria Tolstoy själv..
