Francisca Skoogh performs Chopin’s preludes and speaks with Philip Warkander (senior lecturer in fashion studies and writer for Expressen) about the “island” as artistic refuge and inspiration. With Chopin’s preludes, written in Mallorca in 1838, and Warkander and Falmer’s book on Capri as points of departure, psychological and philosophical perspectives on aesthetics and the artistic need for islands are explored.
