Music on water, music about water, music through water, music as water.

The connections between music and water are vast and profound. The seaways of the past shaped the spread of music and influenced its development. Music has often depicted water or been likened to rain, streams, rivers or the swell of the sea. The question is what happens now, in the Anthropocene, when water is increasingly charged with either longing or fear. What, then, does music do?
