FILM + SAMTAL Levan Akins And Then We Danced utspelar sig i den konservativa och homofoba georgiska dansvärlden, där den unge Merab ställs inför sitt livs utmaning när han förälskar sig i sin största rival på danskompaniet. Hela hans värld sätts i gungning och allt han kämpat för hotas att raseras. Filmen spelades in i Georgien under stor press och hemlighetsmakeri, och blev tidigare i år uttagen till sektionen Director’s Fortnight på filmfestivalen i Cannes. Efter filmen hålls ett samtal med Levan Akin.

FILM + Q&A Levan Akin’s And Then We Danced takes place in the conservative and homophobic Georgian dance world, where the young Merab faces his life’s biggest challenge when he falls in love with his rival at the dance company. His whole world and everything he’s fought for is at risk of falling apart. The film was shot in Georgia under big pressure and secrecy, and was selected earlier this year for the Director’s Fortnight section at the Cannes Film Festival. After the screening there’s a Q&A with Levan Akin.
